which itinerary would you recommend me to make
I would like to go mt Fuji and Kyoto.
How many stops should i make?? or which cities I shouldn't miss to visit in that area?
28APR to 3MAY trip itinerary with JRPASS
I will be arriving to Narita on the 26APR planning to stay two days in Tokyo.
My plane leaves onthe 3MAY at 06:00PM
Hi there!
I would recommend visiting mount Fuji as a day trip from Tokyo. This because most routes to Fuji are via Tokyo.
As for Kyoto, I would recommend a 7 Day JR Pass for visiting Kyoto. This because a normal return alone will cost the same as a 7 day JR Pass, now you get 7 days of unlimited train travel for the same price!
With the JR Pass you can use the Shinkansen (High Speed Bullet rail) directly between Tokyo and Kyoto. Some stops on the way which you can consider are Nagoya and Shizuoka.
Hope this helps!
Daniel
Have you stayed at buddhist temples in mt koya??
is it worth the trip?? i would like to make a more natural scenery/cultural trip
Miyajima and Mt Koya staying at ryokans and walking through the woods and temples
what u say?
Both Koya and Miyajima are amazing and I would heartily recommand a temple stay at Koya if you have the change.
Kyoto (unlike Tokyo) is really build around tradition. You can find many temples in and around the city. I would especially recommend a visit to Kurama near Kyoto if you wish to walk a more remote path and experience Zen for yourself.
great tip
thnx Daniel
