Am gonna be in Japan for 8 days... Planning to spend 2 nights in Tokyo, 3 in Kyoto and 2 in Osaka...
Just wondering if it would be worthwhile to get the 7 day JR Pass... Pls advise...
Also... Do u have a list of places i could buy the pass from in Singapore?

Yes, a 7 day rail pass will certainly be cost effective as it is basically the same price as a return trip from Tokyo > Osaka. As you'll be traveling to Kyoto, and also plan on some travel inside Tokyo, any further JR travel you do will effectively be free.

I see! I had assumed a return journey back to Tokyo. In the case of a single bullet journey from Tokyo to Kyoto, I advise purchasing single tickets as needed. You generally need to do 2 bullet train legs before the rail pass becomes cost effective. For example, the rail pass would be a good choice if you included a day trip to Hiroshima from Osaka in your plans.
