Will I be able to use a 7 day pass for train use within Osaka? Osaka will be my home base and I plan to visit Kyoto and Hiroshima.

Hi there!
There are JR lines in and around Osaka but I think you'll also need to use the non-JR metro system a fair amount. I recommend you check our map of JR lines in Osaka to learn more about the coverage.
