I am going to have a long trip in Japan (more than 6 weeks)
I will start my trip at Hakata and would like to try book a seat on Twilight Express.
As I would like to start my 21 Days JR Pass on the day I can ride on Twilight Express. Can I check the seat availability first?

The Twilight Express and other night train availability can only be checked in Japan by asking about it at the ticket counter. An other possibility is to call the JR but you would have to speak Japanese pretty well.
