We will be in Japan from March 15 - March 20. We would like to take the bullet train from Narita airport to Hiroshima. We arrive at 1PM. Is that possible, and should we get a pass for our short stay?'

Hi there!

Yes that's certainly possible. First take the Narita Express to Tokyo station from where you can board to Shinkansen (bullet trains) to Hiroshima. The route takes ¥ 20,840 yen by itself, a 7 day JR Pass is ¥ 28,300, so it could quickly pay off depending on what other rail travel you plan to do.

The route takes 5-6 hours by train, so be sure to bring a good book or something to keep you entertained!
