I want to go from Tokyo to Best Western Hotel Kansai Airport. Can I use my JR RailPass? I have checked timetable site but I only see Nozumi Shinkansen, and JR RailPass is not valid on Nozumi Shinkansen. Ken

Yes - you can use the rail pass for that journey no problem. Here's a sample itinerary for you that's valid for the Japan Rail Pass.

Hi there!
WiFi is technically available on the Shinkansen, but you have to register with a WiFi hotspot provider in advance which requires you to jump though a lot of registration hoops (more in Japanese). Because of this I think your options are:
- Rental Mobile WiFi (our guide, or see here for more)
- Register with Boingo Asia-pacific and use in McDonalds and most JR stations (piggybacks softbank hotspots)
I've rented a mobile wifi device in Japan before and found it invaluable, so highly recommend this option!
