Hi AS,
Here are some answers for you:
I live in Poland and I have got my flight to Japan on 26th of April. Do you think that you will be able to deliver JRPASS before 26th if I order it today or tomorrow.
Our delivery to Poland usually takes up to 3 working days, so if you were to order early tomorrow (wed) you should have it by Friday the 14th. If you are leaving on the 26th, the absolute latest you should order is the weekend of the 21st, but for your own peace of mind you should order as soon as you have finalised your plans.
I'm leaving Japan on 18th of May which in total gives 21 days of stay in JAPAN. I am going to travel a lot around Japan, is it worth buying JRPASS for 21 days?
Tricky question! In order for a 21 day rail pass to be worth it, you need to intend to spend over ¥57,700 on normal JR tickets. This can easily be reached in 4-5 bullet train trips, but it very much depends on your plans as to whether you'd be better with a 14 day pass. You can look up train timetables and costs for all of your legs at the Hyperdia travel planning website and learn how to use Hyperdia for Japan Rail Pass holders through our video blog.
does it covers ferries to Okinawa as well?
No - the only Ferry covered by the Japan Rail Pass is the Miyajima Ferry that runs between Miyajimaguchi station and Miyajima island outside Hiroshima.
I will be traveling also during Golden Week, should I order tickets in advnace to be sure, that I'll have seats? When should I do it the latest?
Golden week is an exciting time to travel in Japan as it feels like the whole country is on holiday, but this does mean public transport becomes crowded. I recommend you reserve seats on the trains you intend to use as soon as you arrive in Japan and activate your Japan Rail Pass (free reservations in English can only be made in person with the JR Pass) . If you can bring a printed itinerary of your planned trains this will helps the JR staff to make your free seat reservations.
I hope this helps!
