Should we buy the 7 days JR Pass? Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka roudtrip

We're planning to do 14 days in Japan.

Tokyo -> Kyoto (May 5th)
Kyoto -> Osaka (May 8th - morning)
Oskata -> Kyoto (May 8th - night)
Kyoto -> Tokyo (May 12th)

Does a 7-day JR pass make sense for this trip (May 5th to May 12th)? or should we buy individual train passes?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi there,

Yes, a 7-day pass makes sense because you'll be exclusively be using the shinkansen, and it'll allow you to make day trips out of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto and will let you use basic metro transport in Osaka and Tokyo.

Hope this helps!
