Purchasing for someone else?

My girlfriend is on her way to Japan right now and hasn't bought her pass yet. She'll be passing through both Vietnam and China on her way to Japan so I could have it shipped to either of those countries. My only concern would be whether I can purchase it for her or if she needs to do it herself. I have regular internet and she doesn't (she's on a ship). Any thoughts on what the best option would be? She's also arriving in Kobe and it doesn't look like there is an exchange office in Kobe. What would be the closest exchange office?

Hi there,

It's fine to purchase a rail pass on someone else's behalf. Please ensure when making the order that you specify your girlfriends name on the passenger list. Please also note that we can only deliver to hotels and residential addresses.

There is no JR station in Kobe listed as having an exchange office. The nearest exchange office location will likely be Osaka (itinerary from Kobe to Osaka - ¥390), where she will be able to exchange her Japan Rail Pass.

Hope this helps!
