Hi there,

Could you please advise if a 7 day rail pass is ideal for the below itinerary:

Arrive Kansai Int'l 14th June
Staying in Osaka for 2 nights ( Sat & Sun)
Departs Monday 16 bound for Tokyo preferably in the afternoon. - (activate rail pass on this day)
Staying in Tokyo for 2 nights (Mon & Tues)
Departs Tokyo Wednesday bound for Kyoto in the afternoon.
Staying in Kyoto for 1 night ( Wed) then departs in the afternoon bound for Kanazawa
Staying in Kanazawa for 2 nights (Thurs & Friday) then leave Kanazawa on Saturday bound for Kanzai airport.

Hope this makes sense.

Hi Anna,

I also saw your other post, I was flying from Taipei to Osaka today so my response it a little late, sorry about that.

Here are ticket prices without the JR-Pass.

Osaka --> Tokyo ¥ 13,550
Tokyo --> Kyoto :¥ 13,020
Kyoto --> Kanazawa ¥ 6,510
Kanazawa --> Kansai Airport ¥ 9,750

For a total of ¥ 42,830 the 7 Day JR-Pass is ¥ 28,300 so you would save at least ¥ 14,530.

I'm assuming we can use this pass on the bullet train.

Yes the bullet train to and from Tokyo is fully covered by the JR-Pass.
