Narita to Kyoto

I will arrive Narita around 4 pm on June 23 and will have to arrive in Kyoto same day to check in Granvia Hotel in Kyoto. Leaving Kyoto for Tokyo on June 27 and leaving Tokyo at Narita on June 30. I will travel to Osaka, Kobe and probably Nara during my stay in Kyoto. My questions are:-

If I bought a 7 day pass and have to exchange it for coupon at the airport, how long does it take to get the coupon?

Do I have to transfer at the Tokyo Station for trains to Kyoto?

Should I book a seat for the train to Tokyo Station and then to Kyoto Station online first?

What time do you suggest that I should book so that I have enough time to get to both stations?

This will depend on the number of people activating at the same time as you. In peak times, you may have an hour to wait, at other times, you will be done in 5 minutes :)

Do I have to transfer at the Tokyo Station for trains to Kyoto?

Yes - you should transfer from the Narita Express to the Hikari Shikansen for Kyoto.

Should I book a seat for the train to Tokyo Station and then to Kyoto Station online first?

As you can't book seats online for the Hikari Shinkansen, I recommend you reserve seats at Narita once you arrive. The ticket officer should be able to give you advice on what the best trains to get will be given your connection, but in I would estimate for around 20-30 minutes transfer at Tokyo station to be safe.
