Nagoya Osaka Kyoto Nara Takiyama and co. (Perhaps Wakayama)

This one is indeed a little hard to plan, this because no single pass covers the full trip and the Kansai Pass/Kintetsu are only valid on a limited area.

I think you could save some money by buying the Kintetsu Railpass and use it to travel to Osaka, Nara and Kyoto.

For the rest you are probably best of by buying single tickets. Here is a little breakdown of ticket prices.

Nagoya --> Osaka ¥ 6,180 (Can be done by Kintetsu)
Osaka --> Wakayama ¥ 2,660 or ¥ 1,210 by local train
Wakayama --> Osaka ¥ 2,660 or ¥ 1,210 by local train
Osaka --> Nara ¥ 780 (Can be done by Kintetsu)
Nara --> Kyoto ¥ 690 (Can be done by Kintetsu)
Kyoto --> Takayama ¥ 9,680
Takayama --> Nagoya ¥ 5,870
