Hi!

I will be in Tokyo for 7 days, and during that time I am planning a day trip (possibly two days total there) to Kanazawa. I am curious if it would be worth picking up the Hokuriku Arch Pass? It mentions travel on limited express trains, local trains, and all Tokyo Monorail lines within the free usage area. Does that means it would include lines like the Chuo Sobu & Marunouchi for getting around? Also since it mentions the monorail that means it includes getting to and from Hanada Airport if I understand the coverage correctly?

Thanks Again for All the Help,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for reaching out, Kanazawa is one of my personal favs, and can highly recommend a visit if you have the opportunity.

As for the Hokuriku Arch Pass the pass is roughly 30.000yen. A return ticket Tokyo - Kanazawa using the Shinkansen is roughly 29.000yen. In other words, it'd be very easy to make savings using this pass. The pass includes local JR lines in Tokyo details are here as well as the Monorail to Haneda Airport.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
