Is JR pass valid for use in Kintetsu line? We will be traveling from Kyoto to Todaiji Great Buddha and i think the fastest route is using the Kintetsu line. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,
Unfortunately no. Kintetsu is a separate rail company. You can take JR to Nara Station though and walk 20 minutes to Nara Park - which is where the Todaiji is located. You can see a good preview of it here. Also be sure to feed the deer, see Kofukuji and Kasuga Shrine, plus two often overlooked gardens, Isuien and Yoshikien.
