Hi ,
I'm going to Japan in August for 12 days.
From Haneda airport to Tokyo, Tokyo - Kyoto, Kyoto - Nagoya, Nagoya - Tokyo, back to Haneda airport. I saw there are different region passes for Kyoto and Nagoya. What is the best type JR pass should I buy ?
Thank you very much!

Hi there,

A 7 day JR Pass would be the best option if you can travel from Tokyo - Kyoto - Nagoya and back to Tokyo within the 7 day period. There's no other pass that would help you make savings on this route.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for the reply.
I have one more question, is JR pass cover most of the transit in Tokyo, Kyoto and Nagoya?

Thank you very much
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

The JR Network in Tokyo is very extensive and would cover nearly all your travel.

Kyoto and Nagoya only have limited coverage with JR Lines but it won't cost much to travel locally. If you want to get around easy, consider getting an IC card, like SUICA.

Hope this helps too :)
