I have reserved a JR Pass Hokkaido, which I need to exchange at the New Chitose Airport upon arrival. Since my flight is expected to be arriving at 19:35, the service counter close at 19:00, therefore I won’t be able to make the exchange at the service counter at that time. If there’s a self service machine that I could exchange JR Pass via QR code by any chance?
Really appreciate for any help.

Hi there,
Unfortunately the JR Pass needs to be exchanged at a JR-operated ticket desk/office, so the only real option you have is to do it the next day, as all nearby station service counters close at 19:00 as well.
