We would arrive at sendai airport on 27 Dec 13 and directly we would like to use jr rail pass to travel to echigo-yuzawa and so.on? So we are going to need to exchange our pass first. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there!
There's no JR counter at Sendai Airport, the closest station where you can activate the JR Pass is Sendai Station. You can take the JR Airport express directly to Sendai station which takes 25min/630Yen.
