getting around from Osaka to Tokyo

hi, arrive in Osaka KIX 0825hrs on 5th March and leaving Tokyo on evening of 17th March.
hope to spend a few days in Osaka, Kyoto, hakone, nara, mt fuji area and tokyo etc over the trip.
dont really finalise iternary yet. thinking of getting JR pass but not sure if 7 or 14 days pass is better.
please help with JR pass and iternary.

Hi there!

I would suggest going for a 7 day JR Pass with your current wishlist of places to visit. Use the JR Pass to cover your otherwise expansive long distance travel such as Osaka - Tokyo and plan around that. Japan suddenly is not so huge when you have a JR Pass, because you simply can go anywhere. For instance add a visit to Hiroshima, Miyajima or even Beppu but be sure to reach Tokyo before your pass expires.
