Hi. We are a party of 5 adults. We will be travelling from Narita to Tokyo then on to Osaka. Will it be best to purchase a 7 day rail pass or are there better options. We don't want to spend too much time travelling but would like to go by train.

Hi there!
A 7 day Japan Rail Pass costs the same as the ticket costs for a return trip to Osaka so I can recommend it in your case. If you were to purchase a rail pass you would be able to do your travel from Narita to Tokyo for free (¥2800 each way), and any further JR travel would also be free such as day trips to Nikko, Kyoto, Nara or Hiroshima. You can also make good use of JR lines within Tokyo.
