Is it possible for me to make a daytrip to the deer park? I just need a couple of hours there and then head back to Tokyo.
Could you please help me with the planing of such adventure for me :) What time and witch trains should i take and should i reserve train seats the same day or the day before the adventure?
Should i reserve both ways seating in advance?
Hi there,
Yes, it would be possible but expect to be on the train about 4 hours each way. To get to Nara from Tokyo, take the Hikari Shinkansen from Tokyo - Kyoto station (reserve seats for this), then a local train from Kyoto to Nara (on the JR Nara line). I do recommend reserving your seats 1 day in advance but at the same time, it likely is not needed.
