Can we use JR Pass for Bullet trains and is it smart?

Hi! Our itinerary is:

20-23 April - Tokyo
23-25 April - Hakone
25-27 April - Kyoto
27-29 April - Osaka
29-30 April - Takayama
30 April-3 May - Tokyo

Our plan was buy a 7 Day JRPass, and activate it starting 24 April. Our questions:
* Can we use it to take a bullet train from Hakone to Kyoto? * Can we use it to take a bullet train from Osaka to Takayama? * Can we use it to take a bullet train from Takayama to Tokyo? * Is it smarter to by the JRPass or to buy separate tickets?

Hi Pep,

Yes, the JR Pass covers travel between all these cities and you can use the bullet train where available. Such as to Osaka and part of the way to Takayama.

You'd make very good savings, so using a 7-day JR Pass is definitely recommended :)
