Hi everyone,

I am a little confused. I will be arriving at Narita Airport at 8:45 am on November 6th. I want to go to Kyoto directly and spend one night there. Then, I will continue my trip to Osaka and stay there for 2 nights. Finally, I will spend the rest of my time in Tokyo. I will be flying back to my country from Narita Airport at 10:00 am on November 14th. Do you think it's worth buying a JR Pass, and if so, should I buy it in advance (this month, for example)?

Hi there,

Based on your itinerary, I don't think the JR Pass will be your most cost-effective option and I would recommend purchasing your tickets individually. If you did choose to buy a pass now or in the future, I would recommend purchasing in advance - our suggestion is to leave it no later than two weeks, but a month is a good time.

Hope this helps!

Alexis
