What is the most efficient way to utilize the Rail passes for 3 people?

Hi there,
If you plan on travelling to Osaka/Kyoto via Tokyo, I’d suggest purchasing your tickets individually if you’re looking to make your trip as cost-effective as possible. If you are able to, a cheaper alternative option to purchasing a JR Pass would be to purchase a Hokuriku Arch Pass, but this option makes it more difficult to visit Fuji as it covers travel via the Hokuriku Shinkansen. Alternatively, a regular JR Pass is still a viable option and will suit your itinerary better, but it will come at a more expensive price.
