Hi there,

Since you posted your detailed itinerary here, I've rolled it all in one answer for better reference.

I would certainly recommend a 7 Day JR Pass for your travel. This because a return ticket Tokyo - Osaka is about the same price as a 7 Day JR Pass, basically if you use the pass for the return any additional travel is FREE! For instance you can use the JR Pass for travel to Disneyland, Universtal Studio or the return trip to Narita Airport.

As you may already know, the Nozomi train is not covered but you can use the Hikari Super Express instead for travel to Osaka. The trains are the same but the only difference is that the Hikari makes a couple more stops on the way to Osaka. When using Hyperdia be sure to deselect the search option NOZOMI / MIZUHO / HAYABUSA (SHINKANSEN), this way you can find the right trains.

I hope this helps!
Daniel

Hi I am traveling 3 adults with 2 children (3 years old n 5 years old) is their fare free? If yes, does it means they don't get a seat? Will u recommend us getting the green car or normal car?

Hi again,

Yes children below the age of 6 are free if they are accompanied by an adult, there's a limit of 1 child per adult, other wise the price is 50% of the normal fare for each additional child. You should have not problem since you travel with 3 adults.

I would recommend traveling using a normal seats. The seat arrangement is 3 x 2 seats each row, so it would be easy to sit together with a travel company of 5.

Not reserved no, you are expected to take them on your lap if trains are busy. Generally however there's a lot of free seats and you can put them on the ones beside you.
