hiroshima-kyoto and miajima2 day
kyoto- osaka - 1 day
osaka kesai air port 1day

These are expected main travelling in Japan 6-7 days
Is it worth buying jr pass for 5 family members?

Lets take a look at your travel costs:

  1. Narita airport terminal 1 > Tokyo: ¥3,140 (62mins, 79km)
  2. Tokyo > Odawara: ¥3,840 (35mins, 83km)
  3. Odawara > Tokyo: ¥1,450 (36mins, 83km)
  4. Tokyo > Hiroshima: ¥17,850 (295mins, 894km)
  5. Hiroshima > Kyoto: ¥10,990 (126mins, 380km)
  6. Kyoto > Osaka: ¥540 (28mins, 42km)
  7. Osaka > Kansai airport: ¥3,340 (57mins, 64km)

JR ticket cost: ¥41,150 for 7 legs

As you can see you'll make good savings with a 7 day rail pass. In addition any further JR travel will be free. You can also use the JR Pass for travel on JR lines around Tokyo giving you the opportunity for further savings.
