If I activate my JR Pass at 9:00am on Nov 01, is it good until mid-night of Nov 14 or 9:00am of Nov 15?

Hi there!
The JR Pass is counted in days instead of hours. This means that the first day of use is counted as a full day no matter what time that you activate the JR Pass.
Your JR Pass would thus be valid until midnight Nov 14th if you activate your JR Pass on the 1st of November.
