I will be flying in and out of Osaka airport. I plan to go to Kurashiki (Okayama/Konko), Kyoto, Nagoya (Suzuka raceway), and touring around Wakayama (Nachi Falls, Gobo, and Koyasan). Could I just buy a regional pass or do I need a full JR Pass? We'll be there around ten days.
Which pass to purchase
Hi there,
There is not regional pass that includes both JR West (for Kurashiki, Kyoto and Wakayama) and JR Central (Nagoya). If you want to visit them all, then I recommend using a 7-day JR Pass and see if you can include the routes that cost the most for this period.
You could also look at using a JR Kansai Area Pass or JR Kansai WIDE Pass, for the days that you are not using the Japan Rail Pass.
Kind regards,
Daniel
