Hello I just started planning my trip to Japan so this is a rough itinerary.

30/3 - Arrive at Haneda Airport 10.30 pm, stay overnight nearby Haneda Airport until 31/3, morning 8am leave to downtown Tokyo see Sakura, 1.30 pm leave Tokyo to yokohama gundam factory - 1 day
31/3 - 3.30pm depart Yokohama to Osaka
31/3 (night) -6/4 - Stay in Osaka, day trips to Kyoto and Nara if got time Kobe, include 1 day universal studio in Osaka - 5.5 days (maybe 2 days kyoto + arashiyama + Fushimi Inari Shrine, 1/2 day Nara, 1/2 day himeji castle with dinner at kobe, 2.5 days osaka, (kindly comment if this is too tight ? what would you recommend?)
6/4 afternoon around 3pm depart from Osaka to Tokyo
6/4 (night)-10/4 - Tokyo (1 day Tokyo Disneyland / Disneysea (not sure which is better for first timer ?), 1 day lake Kawaguchiko/fuji day trip from Tokyo) - 4 days
10/4 8.45pm depart Tokyo to Haneda airport for flight at 11.45pm

Do you recommend the following passes? If not which are the most suitable passes for my itinerary? Most convenient way to purchase/ redeem these passes?
1) JR Pass
2) Kyoto Subway & Bus One-Day Pass
3) Osaka Amazing pass
4) ICOCA card

Hi there,

Seems like a well balanced itinerary, I think your time in Osaka is well balanced, especially if you take each full day to explore. Travel within Kansai between main cities (Kobe, Kyoto, Osaka) is 30-60 minutes only, so you have enough time to go around and see things.

I think getting a 7-day JR Pass + Suica (or other IC card) is a great start. I'm not sure about the Osaka Amazing pass but it can be good value if you visit multiple attractions included.

Hope this helps!
Daniel

Since JR pass doesnt really cover buses and subways, is it recommended to also get Kyoto Subway & Bus One-Day Pass ?

Sorry i wanted to add, for JR pass holders, is it advisable to also get not just the Kyoto Subway & Bus, but also the subway pass at Osaka and subway pass at Tokyo or would JR pass and Suica (or other IC card) suffice?
