What if i do
Osaka to Tsuruga on Thunderbird
and
Tsuruga to Toyama on Tsurugi
and
Toyama to Takayama on Hida.
will this entire journey be included in the Takayama-Hokuriku Tourist Pass, any ideas ?
I am doing this since i understand that osaka to takayama hids 25 is not allowed in the pass

Yes, travel to Tsuruga and Toyama is included. As well as Toyama and Takayama.

The pass does have a limited route, and as you are aware, you have to follow it specifically.
