i will be in kyoto from 9. aug to 15. sept 2019.
i would like to get a couple regional 1 day jr-passes. when do i have to activate the 1 day pass... and where? i would like to choose the day of use spontaneously. is that possible?

Hi there,
There are not many options for 1-day passes, one that comes to mind is the Kansai Area Pass. You can activate this at any of the big stations like Kyoto and Osaka stations. You can also select the starting date at that time, so you can be as spontaneous as you like :)
