Kansai-Hiroshima Pass

Hi, I'll be getting the Kansai Hiroshima Pass to travel for 5 days in October, from 15th to 19th.
Day 1: Kansai Airport to Shin-Osaka (Haruka), Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima (Shinkansen)
Day 2: Just exploring Hiroshima & Miyajima
Day 3: Hiroshima to Himeji (Shinkansen), Himeji to Tottori (Super Hakuto)
Day 4: Tottori to Kyoto (Super Hakuto)
Day 5: Day trip from Kyoto to Amanohashidate and back (Hashidate x2)

I would like to ask about which trains are included, and also about reserved seats. The website said reserved seats are not included, but other sites say up to 6 reserved seats are included. I understand that there are some trains like the Super Hakuto (Day 3 Himeji to Tottori, Day 4 Tottori to Kyoto) and Hashidate (Kyoto to Amanohashidate and back) that are reserved seats only. Will I be able to book tickets on these trains? Is there an extra charge for booking reserved seats?
Also, for the 2 shinkansen trips ( Day 1 Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima and Day 3 Hiroshima to Himeji), are those also included in the pass? Do I need to reserve seats / pay extra to reserve seats?
I am travelling alone with only a normal sized backpack and if there are non-reserved seating options, I'm ok to use non-reserved seats.

Thanks!

Hi there,

The good news is that all the trains that you plan to use are covered by the pass and all contain reserved seating carriages. Seat reservations can be made free of charge at ticket offices/desks, or alternatively the first 6 reservations you make can be done at ticket machines.

The Pass fully covers travel to Hashidate and the Shinkansen trips you plan to make. A map portraying the transport links included can be found here.

Hope this helps!

Alexis
