Kansai Area Pass

Hello, I will be spending the last 4 days of my trip based on following itinerary:

1: Osaka to Nara (Day Trip) using Kintetsu Railway from Osaka Namba to Kintetsu-Nara

2: Osaka to Kyoto (sightseeing)

3: Kyoto (sightseeing)

4 (Last Day): Kyoto to KIX Airport (with prior stop at Rinku Town Station)

Should I consider a JR West Kansai Area Pass (3 day or 4 day?) or simply use IC card throughout the trip?

On the last day, which is the best way to go from Kyoto to Rinku to KIX? Will the Kansai Area Pass cover that?

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi there,

The cost for these trains is all relatively low, since they are considered local trains. I think you'd be fine using an IC card and just travel as you go.

Kind regards,
Daniel
