Hello. I plan to visit nagano before moving to kyoto and kansai area.
My plan is take shinkansen from nagano to kanazawa and then take thunderbolt train to kyoto.
My question is
1. Can I exchange JR-WEST All Area Pass at Tokyo? (Reserving via JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION)
2. if not, can I receiving ticket from a ticket machine (Reserved Seat Ticket, Shinkansen- Jōetsumyōkō to kanazawa, from JR-WEST All Area Pass) at nagano or tokyo, before recieving JR-WEST All Area Pass at kanazawa?

Hi there,
1.) JR West passes can only be activated within the JR West area.
2.) This is not possible, I'm afraid. You can of course get normal tickets from any JR ticket window.
