Hello. I will be in Tokyo from the 14th to the 21st of October. On the 22nd I will take a flight to Kumamoto. The 25th would go by train from Kumamoto to Hiroshima, then Kyoto, then Osaka. Return on the 1st, via Haneda airport. I'm in doubt whether it's better to buy a Sanyo-San'in Northern Kyushu Pass regional pass, to do this Kumamoto-Hiroshima-Kyoto-Osaka loop, or a 7-day pass. If I buy the regional pass, I will have to buy a separate ticket from Osaka to Tokyo. But if I buy the national pass, I can return to Tokyo on the seventh day. Which of these options makes the most sense? Am I choosing the wrong passes?

Can you help me? JR Pass 7 days x Sanyo-San'in Northern Kyushu Pass?

Hi there,
I think purchasing a 7-day JR Pass is you’re best option, considering that your route will cost approximately the same if you were to purchase tickets individually - the Sanyo pass would be a good idea but it would cost more overall with the added trip from Osaka to Tokyo.
Hope this helps!
