Hello,
I will be arriving in Tokyo on Oct 2 and departing Tokyo Oct 13th. I would like to use 2 different passes during my visit:
Oct 2, 3, 4 : JR EAST PASS (Nagano region, 5 day flex pass)
Oct 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 : JR HOKURIKU ARCH PASS (7 day consecutive)
Oct 12, 13: JR EAST PASS (Nagano region, 5 day flex pass)
Essentially I would like to split the 5-day flex pass and stick a 7-day Arch pass in between it (and it's a cheaper option than doing a JR 14-day pass) As I continued researching I found this note on the Arch Pass:
-While visiting in Japan, each visitor may have one JR EAST PASS (Nagano, Niigata area) at a time.
-If you have already purchased a pass, you must wait until the validity period (14 days) of that pass ends before you can purchase another pass of the same type.
For example, if you purchased a pass or did a pass exchange on August 1, you cannot do another pass exchange or purchase a pass in Japan during the validity period of August 1 to 14.
I'm not sure whether this restriction to buy multiple passes is related to just that specific region OR if it refers to purchasing multiple regional passes within the same validity period. can someone clarify please? thank you!
