I am travelling to Japan on the 18/9 where i am staying in Fukui for a month, before going to tokyo for 2 months. I would therefore like to see kyoto and osaka and maybe kobe in that first month but i don’t know when i would like to do it, so I was wondering if i could order a regional pass while already being in Japan if i am only there on a tourist Visa? And what kind of pass would you recommend for me?

Hi there,
You can do so, the best pass would really depend on your travels. If you want to go far and wide, then a normal JR Pass. Otherwise, look at JR West pass. Such as JR Kansai - Hokuriku pass.
Kind regards,
Daniel
