Hi,

Please advise which pass I should buy for the following itinerary:

27 Sept: Kansai Airport -> Osaka
29 Sept: Osaka -> Hiroshima
2 Oct: Hiroshima -> Kyoto
3 Oct: Kyoto -> Nara -> Kyoto (day trip)
7 Oct: Kyoto -> Five Lakes Mount Fuji
11 Oct: Five Lakes Mount Fuji -> Tokyo

Would you recommend buying a Kansai - Hiroshima Area Pass (for use up till Kyoto) and then buying seperate tickets to Mount Fuji and Tokyo? Or buy a 14-day Japan Raill Pass? Or another more economical option?

Hi there,

Yes, the Kansai - Hiroshima Area Pass is quite a good deal here for travel to Hiroshima and back to Kyoto. You can also use it for travel to Nara. Then I'd buy a normal ticket for travel onwards to Tokyo. This would cost less than a 14-day JR Pass.

Kind regards,
Daniel
