Hi,

I have a trip upcoming and will be travelling from Narita to Osaka, then to Kyoto and then to Tokyo.
Will also be visiting Nara and various parts of Tokyo during my trip and I want to know if it would be worth getting the 14 day pass or would it better to just put money onto a Suica card.

Thanks!!

Hi there,

I would recommend using a 7-day JR Pass here for travel to Osaka, Kyoto and back to Tokyo. Then use a local Suica card for travel around Tokyo. That is given that you can return to Tokyo before the pass expires.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi,

I will arrive in Narita on the 20th about 4pm or so and would be going back to Tokyo on the 28th in the moring ... and my understanding is that the pass would be valid as of the 20th, not as of the time of day (4pm) that I would activate it for, is that correct?
