Going from Tokyo to Nagano 18thFeb then Nagano to Osaka on the 25th want to go 1st class should I get a pass or just pay for each trip will not be using train in Tokyo or Osaka

Hi there!
It would be better to buy normal tickets for the trip, the leg takes about ¥ 7,770 and the leg Nagano - Osaka ¥ 11,170. Which would not cover the price of the JR Pass.
