Dear,
can you help me with the choosing "the best" pass if I will
- arrive on August 15 to Tokio Narita -- travel to Kyoto (stay here until August 17) - August 17, travel to Takamatsu (stay here until August 20, probably trip to Koci, not sure now) - August 20 travel to Tokio (stay here until August 23, I already ordered taxi to Narita, on August 23 (early morning, but I would like to sightsee the Tokio August 20-22). What kind of pass I need?
Is it possible to travel in Tokio using the JR pass or is it better to buy a ticket for 48 hours on metro?
Many thanks
Zuzana

Hi Zuzana,

All of your itinerary would be covered under the JR Pass, so if your preference is to travel with a Rail Pass I’d suggest purchasing a 7-day pass to use between the 15th to the 21st. The JR Pass will give you basic metro travel on one line, the JR Yamanote Line, but if you plan on sightseeing I’d recommend picking up a Suica card at the Narita Tourist Information Desk - this is a travel card that you can use on public transport in Tokyo and Kyoto. If you want, a 48 hour ticket is also an option.

Hope this helps!
