I intend to travel to Nikko from Tokyo. It appears I can use the TOHOKU Shinkansen to Utsonomiya. Can I then use the JR pass to Nikko

Hi there,
Yes, the JR Pass will include both the Shinkansen and Express portion of the trip to Nikko via the Nikko Line.
