Hi,

We are 4 traveling from Haneda airport to Nikko, then onto Kyoto (plus day trips out) to Takayama (plus day trips) then returning to Tokyo.

Please can you advise whether the JR Pass or regional passes are the cheapest option?

Thank you

Hi there,

For your itinerary it is likely to be more cost-effective to purchase your tickets individually, but it comes down to the number of day trips you'll be making and to where. The JR Pass will likely cover all of your itinerary and so it is still an option worth looking into if you feel that a pass is better suited for you.

Hope this helps!

Alexis
