Hi,

We are starting our travels in Tokyo and on our last day there we would like to visit Mt Fuji. That is also the day we are leaving to go to Kyoto. Therefore we are exploring ways to combine our visit to Mt Fuji with our next stop Kyoto.
What is the best stop for us? Is it best to stop at Hakone from Tokyo? Or can we also stop at Kawaguchi-ko? And from there travel to Kyoto.

Kinds regards,

Daisy

Hi Daisy,

I would advise making a stop over at Hakone (via Odawara station) if you want to travel on to Kyoto. Odawara is directly on the route to Kyoto, while going via Kawaguchiko would add hours of additional travel and is quite inconvenient.

We have the details here:

Hope this helps,
Daniel
