Hi, We shall be travelling from Narita Airport to Tokyo Ginza on 29 March 2023. From Ginza Tokyo to Hiroshima on 1 April. to Osaka on 2 April, to Kyoto on 3 April and back to Narita airport on 5 April 2023. We naturally will use also metro lines and busses in Tokyo and other cities that we shall visit. Would buying a 7 day pass advisable? Would there be any discount for elderly, such as 76 years old persons?

Hi there,

Yes, a JR Pass would be a good choice here, helping you make very good savings, compared to buying normal tickets. Especially, travel to Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo can be costly without the pass.

The pass is already a highly subsidized ticket by the Japanese government, and therefore no further discounts are given.

Kind regards,
Daniel
