Planning on travelling to japan for 10 to 14 days. I want to go to Tokyo, Nikko, Takayama, Kyoto, Nara, Kurashiki, Hiroshima, and Osaka. Which japan rail pass would be most beneficial in my situation, and how would I save opposed purchasing each fare individually?

Hi there,

You could possibly make some very good savings with the JR Pass. To give you a complete list of ticket fares, could you please tell me what route you plan to travel. What I would love to know is, are you traveling back to Tokyo after Osaka and on which airport do you arrive and depart?

To give you an idea already, a return Tokyo Kyoto/Osaka is about the same price as a 7-day JR Pass and a return a trip like this Tokyo -> Kyoto -> Hiroshima -> Osaka -> Tokyo would already give you save savings with the 14-day JR Pass.

I hope to hear from you,
Daniel
