Hi Daniel-san,

We are staying at a hotel near Shin-Imamiya station in Osaka. We already have 7-day JR pass. Is it better to first go to Nara, visit the park and Todaji shrine, and then go to Kyoto (Fushimi Imari) followed by Arashiyama and then back to Osaka, or the other way round? What itinerary should we follow to save time in commuting and cover maaximum places? And what's a good time to leave in the morning to cover all this in a day?

regards,
Sunali

Hi Sunali,

Since you basically travel in a circle, it does not really matter which direction you decide to go with. Just keep in mind that most temples close around 17.00, so start early to make the best of your day.

Kind regards,
Daniel
