The following is my itinerary:
Narita Airport > Tokyo > Osaka > Kyoto > Tokyo > Narita Airport

Day 1: Narita Airport > Tokyo
Day 8: Tokyo > Narita Airport

I want to use the JR-Pass on the first day, but it will expire on Day 7, it is possible to extend 1 more day for the JR pass? Instead of buying another separate ticket from Tokyo to Narita Airport.

Or is there a better suggestion which I can take another alternative route from Tokyo to Narita Airport?

Lastly, how do I make seat reservation? Is it possible to do online reservation?

Hi there!

Unfortunately there's no way to extend the JRPass, so planning is key. What you could do for instance if you have an early flight is to take a train to Narita and spend your last night there. Alternatively you could just buy a normal ticket to Narita Airport, starting at 1,200yen for local trains and 3,140 for the Narita Express. The most budgetary option is the 900 Yen bus to Narita Airport.

As for seat reservations, you can make them once you are in Japan and have exchanged your JR Pass, simply go to any station and tell the JR Staff where you would like to go, show your JR Pass and they will get you the right tickets. You can either reserve tickets in advance or hop on the train as you like.
