HI, I am visiting Japan for 3 weeks in September and I am contemplating to purchase the 14 day railpass to use after my 5 day in Tokyo. My interary is roughly to go from Tokyo to Nikko, onto Takayame, maybe Kanazawa, then to Kyoto onto to Hiroshima, back up to Osaka , a day trip to Nara, then back to Tokyo via the Fuji 5 lake region. Is the railpass worth it still and is this route covered by the pass? Thanks for any tips and guidance. It will be my 1st visit. Kind regards Claudia .

Hi there,
Yes, I think a JR Pass would suit your itinerary, but note that there isn't much rail coverage around the Fuji lakes, and so you'll have to get buses from nearby stations.
Hope this helps!
