Hi, 3 family members are travelling to Japan in May/June 2024.
I believe a Rail Pass might be the best way around, am I correct? Although I notice it will cost approx. $3500 Aud for the duration.
Is there another more affordable way around? The first four days not on itinerary below, are in Tokyo
1 Thursday 30th May Tokyo
2 Friday 31st May Hiroshima
3 Saturday 1st june Hiroshima
4 Sunday 2nd june Hiroshima/ Kobe
5 Monday 3rd june Kobe
6 Tuesday 4th june Kobe/ Osaka
7 Wednesday 5th june Osaka
8 Thursday 6th june Osaka
9 Friday 7th june Osaka/Kyoto
10 Saturday 8th june Kyoto
11 Sunday 9th june Kyoto
12 Monday 10th june Kyoto
13 Tuesday 11th june Kyoto /Narita
14 Wednesday 12th june Narita

Hi there,
Purchasing your tickets individually will be more cost-effective, given that you'll be staying for an extended period of time. If you feel that a JR Pass is better suited for you, it still covers all of your itinerary, and so it is still an option.
Hope this helps!
