Hello there,

My name is Shukri. Im planning to travel around Japan and this is my basic itinerary.

Kansai international airport - Osaka
Osaka - Kyoto
Kyoto - Toyama
Toyama - Mt Fuji (if possible)
Toyama - Tokyo
Tokyo - Osaka

Im planning to spent about 2 weeks in Japan. Is it a rush if i wanted to do all this? Is it worth it to buy JRPass?

Hi Shukri!

Don't worry about being in a rush. 14 days is more than enough time to make a nice trip past all that you wish to see and visit. I think a 7 day JR Pass would pay of really well if you could do the following travel with it:

Kyoto - Toyama ¥ 7,960
Toyama - Tokyo ¥ 11,900
Tokyo - Osaka ¥ 13,950

This adds up to ¥ 33810, the 7 day JR Pass is ¥ 28,300 so you would save at least ¥ 5510. I would otherwise recommend buying normal tickets if you can't plan the above in 7 days.

I would not visit Mt Fuji from Toyama as a day trip as travel there takes rather long (over 6 hours one way), so I would recommend going there from Tokyo if you have the chance.

Enjoy Japan!
Daniel

Thank you for the kind and SUPER FAST reply. You are awesome. Not to mention you replied to so many others too. Probably will follow your advice and try to fit my plan with the 7 days pass. If im staying for too long maybe i'll go with the Haruka+ICOCA card package (14 days JR pass is too expensive for me). But your idea sounds really good already.

Thanks again (^_^)
